Mark Meretzky’s Handouts

How the handouts are formatted and printed

All of the following files are on the host oit2.scps.nyu.edu.

The handouts are written using the ms macros of the Unix text formatter troff, plus the macros defined in the file /home/m/meretzkm/45/handout/header.ms. I also used tbl for the tables, pic for the diagrams, and eqn for mathematical formulæ.

The links in this page display PDF files created by the complicated which runs the complicated shellscript /home/m/meretzkm/bin/printout. This shellscript can also be run from the Unix command line; see its manual page.

The shellscript feeds the handouts either to troff or to the troff-to-HTML conversion perlscript /home/m/meretzkm/bin/troff2html. I have not yet attempted to display the diagrams (pic) or mathematical formulæ on the Web.

New York University Reprographic Services xeroxes them.
