Albany Post Road Milestones

1. Mile 1. The One Mile House bar, 10 Delancey Street, Manhattan.
9. Mile 9 was in front of 473 West 152nd Street in Manhattan as recently as the third edition of the AIA Guide to New York City (1988), p. 436. This address is on the north side of the street, between St. Nicholas and Amsterdam Avenues, where the Old Croton Aqueduct cuts through the block. The milestone is gone from later editions and from the landscape.
11. Mile 11 is in the north lawn of the Morris Jumel Mansion, 65 Jumel Terrace, Manhattan. See the AIA Guide, 5th ed., p. 561, column 2, bottom.
12. Mile 12. West side of Broadway, north of Isham Street, in Isham Park, Manhattan.
19. Mile 19. West side of Broadway, north of Constant Avenue, Yonkers.
20. Mile 20. West side of Broadway, south side of entrance to Foxfire School, Yonkers.
26. Mile 26. West side of Broadway, south of Hudson Road West, in front of Mercy College, Irvington.
